elliot rehersed today! a couple of new songs underway. we are now rehersing at howies house and its a nice change. playing with polished floor boards below gives a nice big sound and i like it. our new rehersal day appears to be monday which suits me fine. i couldnt think of to many better starts to the working week. anyways.
we are looking for a new guiatrist. any one out there interested please call / email / msn me. thanks all.

So I stepped into billy hydes and came out with
my new snare - BZ-1450 said to be "an engineering pleasure in the studio and an expressive dream on the stage" - let's hope it lives up to it!
and a new Zildjian A custom 17" crash!
Can't wait to get back to jammin once Jono makes his way back to Australian shores

hey gang.
just thought id bring you all up to speed on the whole elliot reference thang. Jono is off adventuring somewhere around europe (probably in germany by now) and he'll be there for about a month. so all things reference like will come to a halt. (concerning live gigs etc) apart from that me and howie have been busy with uni but have now finished for the semester and are working on mixing the elliot reference demo which will be available very soon i suspect. in all we are reasonably happy with it. perhaps we are to hard on ourseleves. theres things in some of our individual tracks that we would change but to do so would mean months and months and months of recording and re-recording and as you may know we are busy lads so getting free time where we can all meet and where we can meet up with dave and dan (our recording gurus) is a bit of a struggle. nevertheless. the demo will be ready soon with some minor stuff ups but all in all a decent enough demonstration of our sound and style.
so yeah thats us. pre order your copy of the elliot reference demo now! (hehehe)

next gig for the elliot reference is a private show. daves 18th. (note the location has been left of this flyer for all you party crashers out there) dave is actually doing our demo recording for us. last day of recording is this sunday. then its goes into the mixing phase and then we'll see how it all sounds before we unleash it to some people.

A big thanks to everyone who came to see us play on friday night. The crowd support was fantastic.

No practice this weekend. Howie's outta town. But if we had one i'm pretty sure it would go something like this:
1. Howie calls to say he's running late. We bitch about him.
2. Howie arrives, ready to play. Steve and I get out instruments and tune up for next 15 minutes. Howie complains that we really could have done that while we were waiting.
3. Steve breaks string. No spares (it's always the G). We go to buy more.
4. We stop off at service station for pink donuts. There's only ever two. Someone has to settle for a caramel one.
5. We return. Play a song. Neighbours complain.
6. End practice
So there you go. Thats how the magic happens.

the update to the previous post.
as we were listining back to the recording of the one song we got to reherse/record today from practice we realised the tape was still running during the fued with the neighbours. we couldnt make out much of the actual arguement but we did catch my tanty after id come back inside. gee i sound like a tool when i m pissed off. and i just dont make sense. its quite funny. so for your entertainment. here is emo getting emo. *wipes angry tear from eye* p.s it has been censored by howie for all those listiners with sensitive ears.
